The district is divided into four tehsils which are Alipur, Jatoi, Muzaffargarh and Kot Addu. The total area covered by the district is 8,249 square kilometers. According to the census of 1998, the region has a population of 2,635,903 people. Punjabi is the language spoken by the majority (95%) with different dialects. PEC is the only authorized body of education who holds all right to make arrangements to enroll and conduct the examinations of 5th class and 8th class on districts level in all over the Punjab and it is the first government organization in the country who take the step to control the 5th and 8th level education activity in Pakistan. It is a district located in the southern part of the Punjab Province in Pakistan. The district is located on the bank of Chenab River. The Muzaffargarh name means the “Fort of Muzaffar”. It is after the fort constructed by the person who founded this town, Nawab Muzaffar Khan who was the Governor of Multan. The region is located at almost centre of Pakistan. The area is flat and perfect for agriculture. There are many mango and citrus farms in the region as well.
The enrollment season has been over in last year 10th October 2013 and date sheet has been announced in the month of January according to which first exam was conducted from the V Grade on 6th February while the last paper was mathematics which was conducted on 14th of February 2017. Due to the river flowing by its side, the land is ideal for cultivation. The major crops of the region are Wheat, cotton and sugarcane. Other minor crops include Rice, bajra, jawar, pulses, maize and oil seeds. Mangoes, citrus, dates and pomegranate are the prominent fruits of the region. A large amount of the district is also forested. 5th class result 2017 and 8th class result 2017 are not announced yet. The Punjab Examination Commission conduct the examinations in the month of February after which students are very curious about their upcoming 5th class result 2017 and 8th class result 2017.The V grade papers starts on 6th February while the VIII Grade examinations conducted on 11 February 2017.
